I turned around and saw Mia sprinting frantically towards me, with Bowen and a gang of thugs hot on her heels.

"Damn it, stop right there! I've been waiting for you all day long!" the man cursed.

My first instinct was to turn and run, but Bowen and his gang were about to catch Mia. I couldn't just leave her behind.
